About PulseKit
PulseKit is an independent collection of browser-based timing tools for musicians, producers, DJs, editors and teachers.
Why the site exists
Tempo questions often interrupt a creative decision: an echo needs a millisecond value, a loop must fit four bars, or an unfamiliar recording needs a usable BPM. PulseKit puts the working calculator first and explains the assumptions immediately below it.
Design principles
- Transparent: every conversion exposes its formula and units.
- Private by default: taps and calculator values are processed in the browser.
- Musically honest: exact arithmetic is separated from subjective mixing and performance choices.
- Accessible: tools support labeled controls, keyboard operation, readable contrast and reduced visual clutter.
What PulseKit is not
It is not a streaming service, audio host, medical instrument or substitute for a qualified acoustician. The calculators describe timing relationships; they cannot hear phrasing, diagnose a room or judge a performance.
Who writes and reviews the pages
Content is published by the PulseKit editorial team. No individual professional credential or commercial affiliation is claimed. Formula checks, source selection and correction standards are documented in the editorial policy.
